This is a strong, senior product leadership role that scores well on safety (company stability) and esteem (ownership, measurable impact). Compensation bands are provided and FTO is specified, partially satisfying physiological needs. The posting emphasizes cross-functional collaboration and enterprise-scale technical challenges, supporting belonging and self-actualization to a degree. Primary gaps are missing explicit core benefits information, ambiguity about remote/on-site expectations, and lack of explicit professional development details — questions a candidate should ask early in the process.

Red Flags
  • Remote/location ambiguity: posting lists multiple office locations and 'remote' as Remote Type but does not state expected on-site frequency or geographic constraints.
  • Missing explicit core benefits details: health/dental/vision, retirement (401k) and other standard benefits are not described in the posting, making foundational compensation/benefit evaluation incomplete.
  • Professional development specifics are not provided: no explicit mention of development budgets, training time, or formal career progression beyond title levels.
Highlights
  • Clear, senior-level ownership and leadership responsibilities (vision, strategy, people leadership, portfolio management).
  • Competitive, explicit salary bands for Director II and Senior Director levels and overall compensation range listed.
  • Strong safety signals from an established Fortune 100 insurer with emphasis on long-term relationships and financial strength.

  • What core benefits are provided (health/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) with matching, life/disability), and is there a formal benefits summary you can share?
  • What is the size and structure of the team I would manage and to whom would this role report? Can you describe the typical collaboration cadence with data scientists, ML engineers, and platform teams?
