Job seekers (application clicks): Email address and job ID (logged when you click “Apply” for analytics and to communicate important product updates - we do NOT receive or process your resume, cover letter, or other application materials)

Job alert subscribers: Email address (when you sign up for job alerts to receive notifications about new opportunities matching your interests)

Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited (collected automatically for security and analytics)

Cookies: We use minimal cookies via Google Analytics for site usage tracking. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may limit functionality.

Legal basis: Legitimate interest and consent (GDPR Article 6)

4. How We Handle Application Data

It is critical to understand how job applications work on Forward Future Jobs:

What We Do

Log your email address and the job ID when you click “Apply” (for analytics and to communicate important product updates)

Redirect you to the employer's external application system (their website, email, or ATS)

What We Do NOT Do as of 10/25/2025

Receive or process your resume

Receive or process your cover letter

Store any application materials

Act as an intermediary in the application process beyond the initial redirect

Employer Responsibility: The employer is solely responsible for handling your application data according to their own privacy practices and applicable laws. We recommend reviewing the employer's privacy policy before submitting your application.

5. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate and improve our platform:

Google Analytics

To understand site usage and performance

Beehiiv

To manage newsletter subscriptions and email communication

These services may receive personal data such as email addresses and usage patterns in accordance with their own privacy policies.

6. Data Sharing & "Do Not Sell"

We do not sell, share, or rent your personal data to any third parties, advertisers, affiliates, or partners. California residents: We honor “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” requests.

8. Data Retention & Storage

Data is stored on encrypted servers in the United States. Retention periods:

  • • Newsletter data: Until unsubscribe + 30 days
  • • Job alert subscriptions: Until unsubscribe + 30 days
  • • Application click logs (email + job ID): 1 year after click
  • • Employer job postings: Until removed by employer or marked inactive
  • • Analytics data: 26 months (per Google Analytics retention)
  • • Support inquiries: 1 year after resolution

Important: We do not retain application materials (resumes, cover letters) because we never receive them. These are submitted directly to employers through their own systems.

9. Automated Processing & International Transfers

We use automated systems (Google Analytics) to analyze site usage patterns. This processing does not involve automated decision-making that legally affects you.

By using our service from outside the United States, you consent to the transfer of your data to the US, which may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.

10. Data Breach Notification

In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users within 72 hours via email and post a notice on our website.

11. Children's Privacy

This site is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

Important: These features may involve additional data collection and processing, including candidate profiles, resumes, application materials, and interaction analytics. We will update this privacy policy and obtain necessary consents before launching any features that change how we handle your data.
